If you would like basic cable service, we offer a discounted rate to our residents. Please call the Green Lake office directly and we will arrange hook up for you. Resident’s personal possessions are not covered by the property’s insurance, it is required that you carry renters insurance to protect your belongings. Damages caused by a resident, even when unintentional, are the financial responsibility of the resident. Without renters insurance, you don’t have coverage for personal property loss or injury to others that may result from accidents or your negligence. This is why residents are required to obtain personal liability insurance, also known as renters insurance, with a minimum personal liability limit of $300,000.

As you make your renters insurance decisions, please keep in mind that a policy from Effective Coverage may provide you with the following (please call Effective Insurance for more complete information):
Liability Insurance: Pays for the bodily injury or property damage experienced by a third party that is a result of your negligence.
Personal Property Insurance: Coverage comes with a base limit of $15,000 and pays for your loss of personal items such as furniture, electronics, and clothing resulting from losses such as fire, vandalism, or theft.
Additional Cost of Living Insurance: This coverage pays for additional expenses that you may incur after a covered loss. An example would be the cost of staying in a hotel while repairs are made that resulted from a covered loss.
You may also obtain evidence of insurance from any provider of your choice. If you work with a provider other than Effective Coverage, the declaration page of your policy or certificate of coverage will need the following information:
Your Name along with names of all adults living in the apartment
Policy start and end date
Policy number
A personal liability limit with a minimum of $300,000
The Apartment Community must be listed as an "Additional Interest" to your policy. By doing this, we will be notified should your policy cancel or non-renew. The "Additional Interest" must read as follows: (Insert Community Name) Apartments,P.O.Box3707, Albany, NY 12203
When you secure your policy which must meet the criteria above, you will need to electronically submit the declaration page for approval via https://www.effectivecoverage.comor take a copy to the leasing office.

Post Office Options for Receiving Mail
A change of address form must be filed with the United States Post Office for your mail to follow you to your new home. You can print out a change of address form and drop it off at your nearest post office, or file a form online.

The following are considered to be emergency situations:
No heat in the winter, no electricity, any condition that may cause a fire, broken windows or any condition that would jeopardize security, refrigeration failure, no water, a plumbing leak or sewer stoppage that may damage personal belongings or apartment property, or gas odors – leave your home immediately and contact the gas company.
Keys / Lockouts Due to insurance liability reasons, we cannot issue a key after regular office hours if you lock yourself out. We suggest that you leave a spare key with a trusted neighbor, or keep a spare key in your vehicle.
